When I send a letter, I sense that time acquires a different meaning. The anticipation and the physical journey of words stretch and relativize our perception of time itself; life is momentarily suspended while the message travels, and time becomes ensnared within space. From their very inception, letters—and postcards in particular—found their way into this project as both a central metaphor and a vital creative tool.

These Postales en Movimiento (Moving Postcards) originate from my travels across Latin America and my inquiries into the soul of cities, soundscapes, imagery, and the act of communication. The project was built from documentation collected during an extensive journey through four cities: Mexico City, Buenos Aires, La Paz, and Lima. The result is a sensory reconstruction—a blend of sound and image crafted from the recollections of each segment of the trip, the direct engagement with the urban landscape, and the intimate rhythm of the epistolary exchange.
