The sound of crickets
2022
After the disappearance of Aldemar, my grandfather, his wife decided to get over all uncertainty by including him in the list of deaths in the 1938 Colombian National Census. With this act my grandmother gave him a grave. Today, 83 years later, I repeat her. I try to find myself among the numbers in the digital database of the National Center for Historical Memory in order to finish the torture that has also implied my own disappearance.

Strength aim

“Strength aim” is an exercise what starts from the definition of sigh using as a visual metaphor elements of a construction seen from the window of an abandoned house. Strength aim means to hold and then release.
About the voice
2017
This essay was created as part of the creative process of the short film “Anzoátegui”. While a was doing the animation I find a difficulty for express my interpretation of the testimonies in words, so I decided try different methods of voice over based of important referents. The essays show the process of construction of the voice.

This short essay is a search for music in the violent context of the Anzoátegui. Looking for that I found Marina who after two years of the first interview for the short film Anzoategui was very sick. The song exists since the voice exists, the accent in the words is almost like a melody, but sometimes we can't talk, just sing.

"Every letter is a love letter" is the premise of the project The complete letters, filmed correspondence. With this idea I start to experiment with the video letter format, which until that year I was discovering, I made this letter as a statement and a process of facing certain feelings .
